Greet the sun as it comes up over the Waitematā, while enjoying a morning of ako (learning) and korero (talking), followed by kai (breakfast), at one of Tāmaki Makaurau's most spectacular and historically rich sites. In the spirit of manaakitanga (hospitality), gain a greater understanding of tikanga (protocol) in relation to pōwhiri (welcoming) and share the joy of learning and singing waiata (songs).

Yes, you will need to get up (very) early, but learning some of the history of the city we live in is fundamental for architects and designers, and it will definitely be worth it!

Bring walking shoes / gumboots for the Dawn Karakia and guided walk.
